HOW TO MEASURE YOUR CHILD’S FOOT CORRECTLY?

Finding the Perfect Shoes in 5 Steps

Step 1

Prepare your little one and tools

You will need paper, a pencil, and a ruler.

For a smooth measuring process, prepare your child in advance so they cooperate and make things easier.

Step 2

Proper foot placement

Place your child standing upright on the paper. Make sure their weight is evenly distributed on both feet.

Title

Step 3

Outline both feet

Trace one foot first, then the other. Always measure both feet, as they often differ in size.

Title

Step 4

Measure length and width

Use the ruler to measure the distance from the heel to the longest toe. Measure the width at the widest part of the foot.

Step 5

Compare with the size chart

Check the size chart for the size that matches the measured length and width, remembering to add extra room.

IMPORTANT:

For a comfortable fit and natural foot development, add 0.7 cm to 1 cm to the foot length.

GEKKO SHOE SIZE CHART

Example: If your child’s foot measures 15.0 cm long and 6.5 cm wide, add 0.7 cm to 1 cm. The total length is 15.7–16.0 cm. In this case, choose size 25, which corresponds to a length of 15.9 cm and width of 6.7 cm.

EXTRA TIPS

1.

Superhero Game

Before measuring, challenge your child: “Who can stand the stillest and imagine being a big superhero?” Tell them that only this way they’ll discover their “super shoes” that will boost their powers.

2.

Little Helper

Bring your child’s favorite toy into the process. Pretend the toy is “measuring the foot” or place it next to them as a “supervisor” to check if everything is done correctly.

3.

Elsa’s Magic

If your child is a Frozen fan, tell them Elsa has frozen their feet with her magic. To unfreeze, they must stay still until the foot outline is complete.
